I've always wanted to make a stuffed animal from scratch. Winter break of 2014, I was running Christmas errands near the craft and fabric store and thinking of my three year-old cousin, Hayden (the now Home Depot lover *see video*), I decided why not start making one now to give as a Christmas present! Taking longer than expected, It was't completed until Christmas of 2015 since I could only work on it during my free time on breaks.
I decided to make a tiger from two reasons: 1. My love of Calvin and Hobbes and 2. the fact that my Aunt Tiffany, Hayden's mother, is a huge Auburn Tigers fan. I know she would approve of a stuffed tiger and that Hayden's favorite animal is a tiger because of her ingraining a love for all things Auburn and tigers in Hayden.
Tiffany and Mrs. Posey (her mom) were very grateful for the handmade tiger. Hayden was too, albeit much more shy about it. I only know because he genuinely hugged it when he got it (although the moment did not last long enough for a photo but I wouldn't really expect anything more of a three year-old). All in all, it was a really fun project made all the better by creating it for a loved one.
I'm awful with a sewing machine so everything is hand-stitched.
Visit All of the Southeastern United States
Eventually my goal is to visit all 50 of these beautiful United States (and in time all of the US territories too). However, I'd figure it would be easier to break my larger goal into more digestible parts by starting with my roots in the Southeast. I have visited all of the states in green (Alabama, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia) thus far. The states in grey are ones that I have yet to visit (Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, West Virginia). I hope to visit all of these states by the end of 2020.
I love to dance, whether I'm dancing well or not. One of my favorites is the swing dance. It reminds me of weddings, summers by southern lakes, and dancing at home with my dad- all beautiful and wonderful memories. While I've done plenty of swing dances, I'd love to actually take a swing dance class to learn a little more. That way next time I do the swing, I'll have some more moves. I hope to take a class by then end of 2018.
Current picture is from my cousin Lanier's wedding in Greensboro, GA 2015.
When I was 13 years old, I donated my hair to Locks of Love. After it being almost a decade having donated no hair and having kept long hair for many years, I decided I should finally cut my hair off again. This time around I donated 13" my hair to Children With Hair Loss, a non-profit that ensures that at no point will a child with medically-related hair loss have to pay for their wig or wig replacements in a financially challenging situation.
Visit their website. They do great work: http://www.childrenwithhairloss.us/
Learn Self Defense
I've always been meaning to take self defense classes. The goal started out as a loose promise to my father who constantly worries about my safety. However, I would love to have the skills not only to protect myself but to increase my badass-ness if even just a little. That and to look as good as Honor Blackman while doing it. I hope to have learned something by the end of 2020.

Karaoke at a Bar
I've done Karaoke at birthday parties before but I've never sung Karaoke in public in front of a bunch of strangers at a bar. For some reason, I want to do this, probably after a few drinks granted. I hope to have sung Karaoke at a Bar by the end of 2018.
Ever since I've been living in New York, I've wanted to go see Niagara Falls since I've never lived so close to it before. After all it is America's oldest state park, so it must be something to behold if people have been going to see it for so long. I hope to see it be the end of 2020.
I am no Johnny Kelley but my goal small running goal is to eventually sign up for and run a 5k. I've walked plenty of 5ks but never ran one. Maybe in time I will eventually run a marathon, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I hope to have run a 5k by the end of 2020.
Hot Air Balloons are so funny to me, flying in the sky with a huge balloon over head. However, I view them as very magical. They seem like something out of some strange fairytale. They are the oldest successful forms of flight for man with a long history, adding more to their charm. I've always wanted to go to a hot air balloon festival to see a sky filled with them. Regardless of festivals or not, my goal is to eventually ride in one. I hope to do this by the end of 2020.
